SWELLEGANT! CLEAR SEALANT will seal all your surface applications to preserve it just right, and keep you clean if you're wearing a piece as jewellery. This sealant is made especially for use with these products and adds absolutely no shine to the piece. It can also be used with any metal product, and many other craft products like polymer clay.
Protecting & Sealing - Instructions for Use: After you have created your piece using any mix of the colourants, patinas and dye-oxides, all that is left is to add a protective coating! It isn't a necessity, but it does protect the piece from scratches and keep the patinas from rubbing off if you’re going to wear the piece. Allow the piece to set for 72 hours before adding the CLEAR SEALANT.
Shake it very thoroughly before using. Brush it on in a very thin layer (thick stuff gets milky looking) Let it dry. Add another layer if you want to. The CLEAR SEALANT is made especially to go with Swellegant METAL COATINGS, PATINAS and DYE-OXIDES. You can experiment with other coatings if you want to. The CLEAR SEALANT is an absolutely flat coating – it won’t add any shine to your piece. It will just protect it. If you want a shiny coating, first use the CLEAR SEALANT, dry it, then re-coat with your choice of more shiny coating.
Test a small section first to make sure the coatings are compatible.
