Shipping to the EU and Northern Ireland - The New GPSR Laws
To our EU Customers,
On December 13th 2024, the EU will introduce the GPSR (General Product Safety Regulation)
This advice has been vague and unclear regarding these new terms & conditions and is set to cause issues for small businesses who send their goods to the EU and Northern Ireland.
The new regulation requires all businesses (including small, handmade and/or independent businesses) to have a representative within the EU who acts on their behalf regarding product safety. This can be a costly process and will take time to put into place.
Until a workable solution is found that is within the new regulations AND affordable to our small business, we are afraid that we will need to make some changes to our delivery options for the foreseeable future.
Due to this, we have had made the difficult decision to temporarily stop accepting online orders from the EU.
We had sadly already stopped shipping to Germany due to that country passing on the cost of customers sticking their brown cardboard mailers in a bin, to us the sender. Now we must cut out the EU completely.
Welcome to the ever growing, over reaching bureaucratic totalitarian nightmare.
