Helms chain is made from an ancient overlapping pattern of large and small rings. It is simple to make, but the effect is quite beautiful.
Originally designed to be used as armour, chain maille was developed more than 2000 years ago. it was Shakespeare who made chain maille popular for personal adornment; it was worn as jewellery by the actors in his plays.
Once you have mastered the technique from this kit, experiment using different coloured jump rings or move onto Precious Metal!
