Cubic Zirconia is the most revolutionary synthetic gemstone of all synthetics. Cubic Zirconia or CZ crystals are made in laboratory at temperatures higher than required for all other gems. They are suitable for use in Lampwork and PMC Silver.

Cubic Zirconia is now being manufactured in a large range of colours. A notable thing about CZ is that it has high dispersion, higher than diamond. In-fact the colourless Cubic Zirconia was first introduced as diamond imitation. CZ is not as hard as diamond but it is quite hard as a gemstone. CZ is brittle, meaning it gets chipped off easily if it is hit.
